Many holiday cottages to discover!

Whatever time you go to Cholsey, we'd like to suggest some things to take to improve your stay. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

We think a good book is another essential. Not just an opportunity to catch up on your reading, but also to pass the time waiting for everyone else to get themselves ready, or wait out the rain! Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We love finding great new cottages, part of the fun of a holiday is not quite knowing where you're going!

Cholsey Accomodation

In Cholsey, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Cholsey school summer holidays.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.

Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.

Holiday Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to Cholsey, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Cholsey with you. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

Enjoy your holiday, we're syure you deserve it. The world moves so very fast and it's great to take a break.

Families, Friends and More

There are many benefits to a self-catering holiday in Cholsey. You take away some of the pressure that appears when staying in a hotel or b and b - you must eat your meals at this time, you must order from this menu.

Of course it also means that you can skip a meal in the accommodation and just eat out - perhaps grab some fish and chips, or maybe a pizza or burger. Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in Cholsey.

On the other hand, there's a growing proportion of visitors who use their time away from home to get fitter and try new things - such as mountain biking, horse riding or canoeing.
