Cottages for families and friends in and around Chaddleworth

Many holiday cottages to discover!

In Chaddleworth, whatever time of year, and whoever you are with, we have a few suggestions for essentials to take along. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

We always make sure we take a good book. There's always plenty of downtime on a cottage holiday, and so it's a great time to catch up on a read. Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We have stayed in many types of cottage, and we've decided we like both traditional and modern - it just depends on where we're going.

Chaddleworth Accomodation

Besides the facilities within the Chaddleworth cottages, our guests have been known to talk long walks, go horse riding and even more adventurous activities such as climbing. Trusting the sun to shine every day is rather optimistic in Chaddleworth regardless of the time of year.

Although its great to be outside in Chaddleworth, you can often have just as much fun with your friends or family if you stay in and play some games. Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue.

Or just ignore the rain and get on with whatever you had initially planned and be determined that a little water will not spoil the day.

All the booking agents we work with have good customer service teams, so please contact them if you have additional questions or encounter any problems. It is of course possible that you need to cancel your Chaddleworth holiday cottage so ensure you read the cancellation terms on the agency or owners website / contract.

Although you may not be familiar with the Chaddleworth area you'll usually find that the owners have left a welcome manual with details of local places to eat, drink and buy supplies. Chaddleworth has long been popular as a place to stay and we encourage you to investigate the surrounding area as much as possible.

A few properties have access to outdoor swimming pools, but please remember that these are often only accessible during the summer months, and that you are responsible for you own safety!

Families, Friends and More

There are many benefits to a self-catering holiday in Chaddleworth. We like the freedom of eating meals when we want. There's something wrong with taking a holiday and then finding out that you have to get up early or you miss the breakfast you've paid for.

Of course it also means that you can skip a meal in the accommodation and just eat out - perhaps grab some fish and chips, or maybe a pizza or burger. For many people the idea of a Chaddleworth cottage holiday allows them to relax, take long rambling walks and stop off at a country pub for a pint and a ploughman's lunch.

There's also a growing number of holidaymakers who just want to get really energetic and try new things, including abseiling, rafting, climbing and even potholing.
