Your chosen cottage should be clean and tidy on arrival, and if it is not you should inform the owner or agency immediately so that they can sort it out swiftly. We know many of our visitors like to take their dogs with them and many cottages now allow this. We have many of the best rental holiday cottages in Castlederg for a family or group of friends - for cottage breaks in Castlederg

Castlederg Accomodation

Throughout the Strabane area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. The school summer holidays generally run from the middle of July to late August.

Half term in the summer extends across the first half of June, as different schools break up at different times. It's becoming less likely to book the best cottages last minute, but by no means impossible. We recommend you give it a try.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

Holiday Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to Castlederg, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. Is there agreement on an old fashioned cottage, or should you be looking for something contemporary with all the modern appliances?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the Castlederg cottage. Many places will accept dogs, but it's always a good idea to double check in advance if it's not mentioned on the booking website.

We want you to have a great Strabane holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Families, Friends and More

The best part of going on holiday with a family is the sense of comfort you all get when walking into a Castlederg holiday cottage - where everything there is designed to make your stay better! When you're travelling as a family with young kids there are several things we recommend you take with you.

Its always a good idea to take swim suits even if you don't expect to be near a beach because you may well find a local swimming pool can be great fun. A lot of the cottages we've researched do have some basic infant facilities such as cots and high chairs, so definitely ask if you need them.

Sometimes just taking a few soft toys from home can make bedtime feel more comfortable in a strange house, and they don't need to take much space in the boot.
