Many holiday cottages to discover!

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Carbost, we suggest a few key items to take along. You can never be sure of the weather, so take something to protect you from the rain - ideally something that can be packed in a rucksack just in case.

If you have a DVD player in the Highland cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

Carbost Accomodation

Cottage prices in Carbost will range from high to low throughout the year, but clearly the summer months will be the most expensive as remand increases. The summer holiday period (for schools) runs from mid-July through the whole of August.

Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of Carbost accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

Holiday Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to Carbost, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. If you're travelling to Carbost in a group of single people, are there enough beds in the bedrooms?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the Carbost cottage. Many places will accept dogs, but it's always a good idea to double check in advance if it's not mentioned on the booking website.

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Carbost or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Families, Friends and More

There are many benefits to a self-catering holiday in Carbost. It's so much more relaxing when you can eat when it suits you - cooking exactly when you want (and whatever you want).

Of course it also means that you can skip a meal in the accommodation and just eat out - perhaps grab some fish and chips, or maybe a pizza or burger. A large number of our visitors like to use their stay as an opportunity to just put their feet up, gaze at the scenery, take an afternoon nap, and enjoy a nice home cooked meal. Just taking it easy in Carbost.

For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
