Cottage owners expect you to leave the property in the same condition as you found it - clean and tidy - and will almost always provide cleaning materials for you. Pet-friendly cottages in Bury are on the rise however we do recommend that you ask in advance - unless it's stated on the booking details. We often have late availability cottages to rent in Bury for all seasons - spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Bury Accomodation

Bury holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Bury school summer holidays.

Half term dates are different for different schools, but normally summer half-term is around the first two weeks of June. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of Bury accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

In the unlikely event that you are not delighted with your holiday cottage in Bury please email or call the agency you made the booking with. It is of course possible that you need to cancel your Bury holiday cottage so ensure you read the cancellation terms on the agency or owners website / contract.

The cottage owners may leave some hints for good places to visit nearby and on occasion we've even found that they'll suggest a specific pub or restaurant where you can get a discount. Bury is a great locations for a cottage holiday due to their proximity to local facilities and amenities.

Some properties will ask for a security deposit before your arrival date - although this is required in a minority of accommodation and you will be advised at time of booking.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering is an ideal way to holiday in Bury. We like the freedom of eating meals when we want. There's something wrong with taking a holiday and then finding out that you have to get up early or you miss the breakfast you've paid for.

And if you have specific dietary needs, whether that's something relatively common like vegetarianism or a more unusual food allergy, cooking your own food allows you peace of mind. A large number of our visitors like to use their stay as an opportunity to just put their feet up, gaze at the scenery, take an afternoon nap, and enjoy a nice home cooked meal. Just taking it easy in Bury.

For others it's an opportunity to get more active, from mountain biking to cross-country running. If you're over 60, we recommend the more relaxed approach!
