We love cottage holidays and Buckinghamshire has some really great destinations and properties to rent, for families or groups of friends. And booking your Gawcott cottage couldn't be simpler, just narrow down the accommodation you're looking for and click on the one you like the most! Staying in a Gawcott holiday cottage can be a perfect way to take a break as you can forget about household chores and focus on having fun, or a relaxing break. We know many of our visitors like to take their dogs with them and many cottages now allow this. We often have late availability cottages to rent in Gawcott for all seasons - spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Children love to get out of the cottage (not because the cottages aren't great, but because its fun to play outside!) and this is a great benefit of staying in a country cottage. As we all know, the weather isn't always idyllic - in fact it can be largely unpredictable. If the rainclouds arrive it may be a good idea to stay inside and get out a pack of cards or an old fashioned board game. Some cottages will provide a few books and magazines but you aren't likely to get the latest blockbuster or this month's Vogue. Alternatively get back in the car, drive to a local pub, and hole up for the day in front of a fire and a couple of pints.
As a reminder, we do not actually take the cottage bookings, we simply connect your with the agencies or owners. Should you need to cancel your accommodation, again we ask you to contact the agent or owner since we cannot talk to them on your behalf. The owners may leave some hints for good places to visit nearby and on occasion we've even found that they'll suggest a specific pub or restaurant where you can get a discount. Gawcott has long been popular as a place to stay and we encourage you to investigate the surrounding area as much as possible. If you are travelling from abroad, please make sure that you have the correct visas (if required) and all the passports are up to date.

Young children and babies can be more easily accommodated for in a holiday cottage where the parents do not feel pressure from other families who may not have young children. When you're so focused on the final destination, its easy to forget to pack some of the basics, so here are a few tips. Although its not to all parents' tastes, you can buy very cheap in-car DVD players to amuse the kids, and they can often be plugged into the standard power sockets when you arrive. A lot of the cottages we've researched do have some basic infant facilities such as cots and high chairs, so definitely ask if you need them. Clothes for the full range of weather; just because you don't think that it looks good outside in the rain it doesn't mean that the little ones will agree.

USING THE SITE

There are many companies that offer a range of holiday cottages you can directly book, but our approach is different - we have collated thousands of cottages from different owners and operators and we organise them to help you choose. When you find a cottage you like we will direct you to the booking agent and you can make your reservation directly with them.
