Brighton Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around Brighton

Many holiday cottages to discover!

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Brighton, we suggest a few key items to take along. Start with something to keep the rain away. You can never really be sure of the weather. An umbrella and a raincoat are a good start!

If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

Brighton Accomodation

Throughout the Cornwall area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

Holiday Cottages

All the booking agents we work with have good customer service teams, so please contact them if you have additional questions or encounter any problems. Nearly all country cottages have free parking near the property, but you may find the urban cottages to have more parking restrictions.

We've often found the properties have a list of nearby places to grab a bite or a beer - and if the owners are nearby they may filter down the recommendations based on your needs. Brighton Cornwall cottages in are not just good value, but also offer the benefits of home comforts versus a hotel.

We hope you have a really enjoyable holiday in Brighton and remember us next year when it comes to finding the next great Cornwall cottage.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering is an ideal way to holiday in Brighton. No pressure from the owner to eat meals at specific times, when you are self-catering the food is ready when you want it to be ready.

And it also gives the freedom of eating out without needing to reorganise any plans in your accomodation. You don't need to tell anyone, just sit down and order! We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

On the other hand, there's a growing proportion of visitors who use their time away from home to get fitter and try new things - such as mountain biking, horse riding or canoeing.
