Bridestowe Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around Bridestowe

Many holiday cottages to discover!

Whatever time you go to Bridestowe, we'd like to suggest some things to take to improve your stay. Definitely pack some waterproof clothing. There's no such thing as a guarantee against the rain and there's nothing worse than being stuck inside.

If you have a DVD player in the Devon cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. We find it really hard to decide which type of cottage we like best. Generally we just enjoy going away!

Bridestowe Accomodation

Wherever you stay in Bridestowe there's usually a good range of fun to be had outdoors - from the most energetic sports to the most relaxing pastimes. Trusting the sun to shine every day is rather optimistic in Bridestowe regardless of the time of year.

We live in a country where we're no stranger to rain and preparing for the inevitable downpour is always a good idea. With wi-fi more and more common (but don't expect urban speeds) you could even download a few great tv shows or games.

Wer're sure you'll come up with a great plan, but it might help to have one in advance. Just in case!

Holiday Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Bridestowe with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to Bridestowe. We always suggest that you check with the owner if there are no pet details listed. And even if there are, it can be a good idea to let them know so they can put out a bowl of water for your dog's arrival.

Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a Devon cottage found through us!

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering is an ideal way to holiday in Bridestowe. You take away some of the pressure that appears when staying in a hotel or b and b - you must eat your meals at this time, you must order from this menu.

And it also gives the freedom of eating out without needing to reorganise any plans in your accomodation. You don't need to tell anyone, just sit down and order! For many people the idea of a Bridestowe cottage holiday allows them to relax, take long rambling walks and stop off at a country pub for a pint and a ploughman's lunch.

For others it's an opportunity to get more active, from mountain biking to cross-country running. If you're over 60, we recommend the more relaxed approach!
