If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. Although you can buy your essential food and drink items locally, it's great to have them with you so you can make a sandwich or a cup of coffee as soon as you arrive. We find it really hard to decide which type of cottage we like best. Generally we just enjoy going away!

Bircotes Accomodation

In Bircotes, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Bircotes school summer holidays.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. Last minute bookings are alway possible, though clearly your choices will be fewer. It really is worth booking early.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of Bircotes accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

In the unlikely event that you are not delighted with your holiday cottage in Bircotes please email or call the agency you made the booking with. Some of the best cottages in Bircotes are really excellent and so we encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible to avoid availability disappointment.

Owners with often leave instructions on how to use the appliances in the property, as well as some suggestions on the nearest shop to buy a pint of milk etc. If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about Bircotes so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions.

We hope you have a really enjoyable holiday in Bircotes and remember us next year when it comes to finding the next great Nottinghamshire cottage.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering holidays can be the most fun in Bircotes. We like the freedom of eating meals when we want. There's something wrong with taking a holiday and then finding out that you have to get up early or you miss the breakfast you've paid for.

Of course it also means that you can skip a meal in the accommodation and just eat out - perhaps grab some fish and chips, or maybe a pizza or burger. Waking up without the alarm, cooking a nice hearty breakfast, perhaps sitting by the river for a spot of fishing or just reading a book.

But you may want to get out and burn some energy on bikes, climb a hill or mountain, or even try canoeing. Whatever you choose, please take the right clothing and equipment with you.
