Many holiday cottages to discover!

To make the best of your trip in Bicknoller, we recommend you bring some essential items. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

We always make sure we take a good book. There's always plenty of downtime on a cottage holiday, and so it's a great time to catch up on a read. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. We find it really hard to decide which type of cottage we like best. Generally we just enjoy going away!

Bicknoller Accomodation

Benefits of staying in a county cottage include being able to jump out of the front door and take part in outdoor pursuits from walking to horse riding, and from fishing to paddling. Great weather can never be guaranteed for every day, and there's obviously a chance of a downpour.

If the rainclouds arrive it may be a good idea to stay inside and get out a pack of cards or an old fashioned board game. If there's a TV in the property then you can sit around a watch re-runs of quiz shows, comedies and whatever else is on.

Or you can just embrace the weather and get out there in a raincoat, splash about, and pretend that you really are still young.

Holiday Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to Bicknoller, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Bicknoller with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Bicknoller with you. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

We want you to have a great Somerset holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Families, Friends and More

The fact that guests are on holiday in Bicknoller in a rental home together, sometimes with three generations in larger rental holiday homes, brings a much different atmosphere to the cottage break or holiday. When you're travelling as a family with young kids there are several things we recommend you take with you.

Its always a good idea to take swim suits even if you don't expect to be near a beach because you may well find a local swimming pool can be great fun. Check whether the cottage can supply cots or high chairs if you need them - you may be surprised how common this is in Bicknoller.

You'll need to think about a few of their favourite books and games to help them feel at home in the cottage and settle in for a good nights sleep.
