Your chosen cottage should be clean and tidy on arrival, and if it is not you should inform the owner or agency immediately so that they can sort it out swiftly. A larger number of cottages will accept pets (and for pets, read 'dogs') but you must check first. We often have late availability offers on holiday cottages for family or group bookings but you'll obviously get a restricted choice.

Bapchild Accomodation

Besides the facilities within the Bapchild cottages, our guests have been known to talk long walks, go horse riding and even more adventurous activities such as climbing. You can never truly rely on the weather in Bapchild Kent or frankly anywhere in the UK.

When the weather takes a turn for the worse its a great time to stay indoors and play some classic family games. Cottage owners sometimes leave a few distractions around the property, such as local magazines or guidebooks.

Or you can just embrace the weather and get out there in a raincoat, splash about, and pretend that you really are still young.

Holiday Cottages

Our site does not make reservations directly and so we ask that any queries you have with the Bapchild cottage are taken up with the owner or agency. Nearly all country cottages have free parking near the property, but you may find the urban cottages to have more parking restrictions.

The cottage owners may leave some hints for good places to visit nearby and on occasion we've even found that they'll suggest a specific pub or restaurant where you can get a discount. Bapchild has long been popular as a place to stay and we encourage you to investigate the surrounding area as much as possible.

Some properties will ask for a security deposit before your arrival date - although this is required in a minority of accommodation and you will be advised at time of booking.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering holidays can be the most fun in Bapchild. We like the freedom of eating meals when we want. There's something wrong with taking a holiday and then finding out that you have to get up early or you miss the breakfast you've paid for.

Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
