If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. Although you can buy your essential food and drink items locally, it's great to have them with you so you can make a sandwich or a cup of coffee as soon as you arrive. We have stayed in many types of cottage, and we've decided we like both traditional and modern - it just depends on where we're going.

Ballindalloch Accomodation

Wherever you stay in Ballindalloch there's usually a good range of fun to be had outdoors - from the most energetic sports to the most relaxing pastimes. You can never truly rely on the weather in Ballindalloch or frankly anywhere in the UK.

When the weather takes a turn for the worse its a great time to stay indoors and play some classic family games. With wi-fi more and more common (but don't expect urban speeds) you could even download a few great tv shows or games.

Alternatively get back in the car, drive to a local pub, and snuggle up for the day in front of a fire and a couple of pints.

Holiday Cottages

As a reminder, we do not actually take the cottage bookings, we simply connect your with the agencies or owners. It is of course possible that you need to cancel your Ballindalloch holiday cottage so ensure you read the cancellation terms on the agency or owners website / contract.

The cottage owners may leave some hints for good places to visit nearby and on occasion we've even found that they'll suggest a specific pub or restaurant where you can get a discount. Ballindalloch has long been popular as a place to stay and we encourage you to investigate the surrounding area as much as possible.

We hope you have a really enjoyable holiday in Ballindalloch and remember us next year when it comes to finding the next great cottage.

Families, Friends and More

There are few better ways to spend a holiday together as a family than in a holiday cottage where everyone truly is in one place, not dotted around a hotel. When you're travelling as a family with young kids there are several things we recommend you take with you.

Its always a good idea to take swim suits even if you don't expect to be near a beach because you may well find a local swimming pool can be great fun. Snacks for the car can make the trip to Ballindalloch much more pleasant - bored kids with low blood sugar are not the perfect companions.

You'll need to think about a few of their favourite books and games to help them feel at home in the cottage and settle in for a good nights sleep.
