Many holiday cottages to discover!

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in BR7, we suggest a few key items to take along. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

We always make sure we take a good book. There's always plenty of downtime on a cottage holiday, and so it's a great time to catch up on a read. Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We love finding great new cottages, part of the fun of a holiday is not quite knowing where you're going!

BR7 Accomodation

Throughout the area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

Holiday Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to BR7, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. Do you need twin beds or double beds, can the kids share a room, will your friends all want separate bedrooms?

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to BR7. If the description of the BR7 cottage does not indicate that its pet friendly, please contact the owner before confirming the booking.

Wherever you stay, whether it's in BR7 or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Families, Friends and More

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in BR7. It's so much more relaxing when you can eat when it suits you - cooking exactly when you want (and whatever you want).

And it also gives the freedom of eating out without needing to reorganise any plans in your accomodation. You don't need to tell anyone, just sit down and order! Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in BR7.

For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
