The best family rental holiday cottages in BD2 are typically small homes for rent that can be treated like your own home for the duration of your cottage holiday. Always check with the BD2 cottage owner before you take pets - although many are pet friendly. We can help if you're looking for a holiday cottage or other accommodation in BD2 to stay in with your family for a week or two or somewhere in BD2 to stay with friends over a long weekend.

BD2 Accomodation

In BD2, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. The school summer holidays generally run from the middle of July to late August.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. Last minute bookings are alway possible, though clearly your choices will be fewer. It really is worth booking early.

Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.

Holiday Cottages

In the unlikely event that you are not delighted with your holiday cottage in BD2 please email or call the agency you made the booking with. Everyone owner or lettings agency can have a slightly different cancellation policy so please be sure to check before you make your reservation.

We've often found the properties have a list of nearby places to grab a bite or a beer - and if the owners are nearby they may filter down the recommendations based on your needs. BD2 cottages range in size and price, but based on our knowledge of the cottage agencies and owners, all should be good quality.

Some properties will ask for a security deposit before your arrival date - although this is required in a minority of accommodation and you will be advised at time of booking.

Families, Friends and More

Families love cottage holidays because they can run to their own schedule, managing everyone's unique needs in the privacy of a comfortable home. Youngsters are always excited about self-catering breaks, but we've collated a short list of things to help it go smoothly!

If your kids ideal break is to be locked in their room with a video games machine, then prepare the outside adventure with bikes, kites and other stuff to get them out having fun. Check whether the cottage can supply cots or high chairs if you need them - you may be surprised how common this is in BD2.

Finally, remember to take your camera - there's nothing better than seeing smiling, happy faces running around and you'll want to capture them.
