Large or small cottage, holiday makers have the freedom to eat in, eat out, stay in bed all day and generally come and go as they please - unlike a bed and breakfast. Always check with the B74 cottage owner before you take pets - although many are pet friendly. We often have late availability cottages to rent in B74 for all seasons - spring, summer, autumn and winter.

B74 Accomodation

The rates for B74 cottages are highest in the warmer months, generally aligning with the school holidays. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

Holiday Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to B74, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in B74 with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Many B74 visitors like to bring their pets (normally dogs) when they go on holiday. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the B74 cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Wherever you stay, whether it's in B74 or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Families, Friends and More

The fact that guests are on holiday in B74 in a rental home together, sometimes with three generations in larger rental holiday homes, brings a much different atmosphere to the cottage break or holiday. Youngsters are always excited about self-catering breaks, but we've collated a short list of things to help it go smoothly!

Although its not to all parents' tastes, you can buy very cheap in-car DVD players to amuse the kids, and they can often be plugged into the standard power sockets when you arrive. A long car journey can turn the most engaged children into bored zombies, so take some snacks and have a few games ready to play.

You'll need to think about a few of their favourite books and games to help them feel at home in the cottage and settle in for a good nights sleep.
