Many holiday cottages to discover!

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in B45, we suggest a few key items to take along. Definitely pack some waterproof clothing. There's no such thing as a guarantee against the rain and there's nothing worse than being stuck inside.

We think a good book is another essential. Not just an opportunity to catch up on your reading, but also to pass the time waiting for everyone else to get themselves ready, or wait out the rain! There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

B45 Accomodation

Benefits of staying in a county cottage include being able to jump out of the front door and take part in outdoor pursuits from walking to horse riding, and from fishing to paddling. Great weather can never be guaranteed for every day, and there's obviously a chance of a downpour.

If you find yourself trapped by the rain in B45 you should pull out a board game, a good book or perhaps a game of charades! Cottage owners sometimes leave a few distractions around the property, such as local magazines or guidebooks.

Or just ignore the rain and get on with whatever you had initially planned and be determined that a little water will not spoil the day.

Holiday Cottages

We deal with some of the best cottage agencies in the country so we're confident that they will resolve any small issues you may encounter. Everyone owner or lettings agency can have a slightly different cancellation policy so please be sure to check before you make your reservation.

The cottage owners may leave some hints for good places to visit nearby and on occasion we've even found that they'll suggest a specific pub or restaurant where you can get a discount. If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about B45 so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions.

A few properties have access to outdoor swimming pools, but please remember that these are often only accessible during the summer months, and that you are responsible for you own safety!

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering is an ideal way to holiday in B45. It's so much more relaxing when you can eat when it suits you - cooking exactly when you want (and whatever you want).

Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

For others it's an opportunity to get more active, from mountain biking to cross-country running. If you're over 60, we recommend the more relaxed approach!
