Ayr Cottages
Cottages for families and friends in and around Ayr

Many holiday cottages to discover!

To make the best of your trip in Ayr, we recommend you bring some essential items. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

We think a good book is another essential. Not just an opportunity to catch up on your reading, but also to pass the time waiting for everyone else to get themselves ready, or wait out the rain! And then we always make sure we have good supplies with us when we arrive so that we can sit down and have a cup of coffee and perhaps a piece of cake before we start that boring unpacking! We find it really hard to decide which type of cottage we like best. Generally we just enjoy going away!

Ayr Accomodation

Children love to get out of the cottage (not because the cottages aren't great, but because its fun to play outside!) and this is a great benefit of staying in a country cottage. You can never truly rely on the weather in Ayr South Ayrshire or frankly anywhere in the UK.

If you find yourself trapped by the rain in Ayr you should pull out a board game, a good book or perhaps a game of charades! With wi-fi more and more common (but don't expect urban speeds) you could even download a few great tv shows or games.

Or you can just embrace the weather and get out there in a raincoat, splash about, and pretend that you really are still young.

Holiday Cottages

When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Dog owners often like to spend their holidays in the UK so that they can take their four legged friends with them. If the description of the Ayr cottage does not indicate that its pet friendly, please contact the owner before confirming the booking.

Enjoy your holiday, we're syure you deserve it. The world moves so very fast and it's great to take a break.

Families, Friends and More

There are many benefits to a self-catering holiday in Ayr. No worrying about getting to the dining room in time, either before the hotel declares that breakfast is over, or trying to fit in with other b and b guests.

And it also gives the freedom of eating out without needing to reorganise any plans in your accomodation. You don't need to tell anyone, just sit down and order! We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
