Whatever time you go to Aberporth, we'd like to suggest some things to take to improve your stay. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

If you have a DVD player in the Ceredigion cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. And then we always make sure we have good supplies with us when we arrive so that we can sit down and have a cup of coffee and perhaps a piece of cake before we start that boring unpacking! Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Aberporth Accomodation

Throughout the Ceredigion area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. July and August are usually Ceredigion school summer holidays.

Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. It's becoming less likely to book the best cottages last minute, but by no means impossible. We recommend you give it a try.

Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.

Families, Friends and More

There are many benefits to a self-catering holiday in Aberporth. No pressure from the owner to eat meals at specific times, when you are self-catering the food is ready when you want it to be ready.

You can decide what food and drink you want to consume, and you can choose when to sit down and eat it... or even stand up and eat it! Waking up without the alarm, cooking a nice hearty breakfast, perhaps sitting by the river for a spot of fishing or just reading a book.

But you may want to get out and burn some energy on bikes, climb a hill or mountain, or even try canoeing. Whatever you choose, please take the right clothing and equipment with you.
