Staying in a Abernethy holiday cottage can be a perfect way to take a break as you can forget about household chores and focus on having fun, or a relaxing break. A larger number of cottages will accept pets (and for pets, read 'dogs') but you must check first. We often have late availability offers on holiday cottages for family or group bookings but you'll obviously get a restricted choice.

Abernethy Accomodation

The rates for Abernethy cottages are highest in the warmer months, generally aligning with the school holidays. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Abernethy school summer holidays.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

Cottage agencies are growing in size as a greater number of independents sign up with them. As a consumer this has a positive impact - in theory the facilities and standards are kept to a pre-agreed level.

Holiday Cottages

When you're searching for the best cottage for your stay, make sure that you've thought through the bedroom needs and allocation. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Abernethy with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the Abernethy cottage. Many places will accept dogs, but it's always a good idea to double check in advance if it's not mentioned on the booking website.

We want you to have a great Perth and Kinross holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Families, Friends and More

The fact that guests are on holiday in Abernethy in a rental home together, sometimes with three generations in larger rental holiday homes, brings a much different atmosphere to the cottage break or holiday. Young children can make your stay even more fun, and we have a few suggestions of things to bring.

Although its not to all parents' tastes, you can buy very cheap in-car DVD players to amuse the kids, and they can often be plugged into the standard power sockets when you arrive. If the children are really young, don't forget to take nappies and / or a potty as you may find it harder to buy these at your destination.

Clothes for the full range of weather; just because you don't think that it looks good outside in the rain it doesn't mean that the little ones will agree.
