Many holiday cottages to discover!

Cottage holidays are becoming more and more synonymous with the Great British Break, which is why we have created this site. The vast majority of our self-catering properties are cottages in rural towns and villages, but we do have some city based properties, many of which are apartments.

Cottage owners expect you to leave the property in the same condition as you found it - clean and tidy - and will almost always provide cleaning materials for you. We know many of our visitors like to take their dogs with them and many cottages now allow this. We have many of the best rental holiday cottages in Abercastle for a family or group of friends - for cottage breaks in Abercastle

Abercastle Accomodation

Cottage prices in Abercastle will range from high to low throughout the year, but clearly the summer months will be the most expensive as remand increases. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Abercastle school summer holidays.

Half term dates are different for different schools, but normally summer half-term is around the first two weeks of June. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of Abercastle accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

All the booking agents we work with have good customer service teams, so please contact them if you have additional questions or encounter any problems. Some of the best cottages in Abercastle are really excellent and so we encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible to avoid availability disappointment.

The cottage owners may leave some hints for good places to visit nearby and on occasion we've even found that they'll suggest a specific pub or restaurant where you can get a discount. If you're travelling from a long way, you may not know much about Abercastle so we suggest a little research in advance to find the best attractions.

Some properties will ask for a security deposit before your arrival date - although this is required in a minority of accommodation and you will be advised at time of booking.

Families, Friends and More

Self-catering always makes your holiday more relaxing in Abercastle. No pressure from the owner to eat meals at specific times, when you are self-catering the food is ready when you want it to be ready.

Eat what you want, whenever you want it. And of course that's particularly good if anyone in your party suffers from food allergies or has other dietary requirements. We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

On the other hand, there's a growing proportion of visitors who use their time away from home to get fitter and try new things - such as mountain biking, horse riding or canoeing.
